OK OK. Time for some blatant self-promotion. *bidampam tish*
A few months ago, I packed off my bags and headed to Taiwan for a month! YES, A MONTH. Can we move on now?

The experiences were varied and the cultural exposure was invaluable. Plus, I made some GREAT friends.

And this month, Reader’s Digest (China) has carried an article written by yours truly. The article is about the quirky experiences I (an Indian) had during my stay in Taiwan.

PS: Yes, they were gracious enough to take the pains and translate it for their magazine.

PPS: They were generous enough to mention this blog!!

:D

@M2A: Yup. They have. I guess it's a lot to do with China RD who mentioned the blog link with the article. In fact, I came to know that the article is finally out because a reader from US pinged me on FB. :)

I've lived in Taiwan for a few years now, and quirky doesn't begin to describe it! I'd love to read your article and see what impressions other foreigners get.

Arre! Awesome! How will I read it? Can you translate in English? Vicko's global now:)

@Jess: Thanks for your comment. If interested, you may check out the posts from April 14 onwards. That's the time when I was in Taiwan and blogged regularly about my everyday experiences. Cheers.

@Radhika (Go Goa): Yes, I shall translate. Worry not! :)

@M2A: Dude. I am so proud of you. You prove that we belong to Jai Hind's 04 Electronics batch. Or in the words of a certain professor, "You are right. You are right." :P

Hi, just read your article and that's so FUNNY! (I am a Taiwanese living in Myanmar, currently in Bangkok.)
I, too, always believe (most) Indians eat with their right hand, just like the Burmese do. (and I have to say that the rice and curry really taste better that way!:p)
Btw, do you know that there's an old Taiwanese song call 'A Little Umbrella'? The wordings goes like: "The two of us....together we are holding an little umbrella.... a little umbrella... "

Best Wishes.

Ps.Your encounter with the First Lady is cool~

@Manali: Thanks!

@Kamal Aunty: Thank you so much.

@Anonymous: Glad you liked it.

@Moondrop: I agree, when it comes to curry and rice, it's much better if you eat it with your hand. :) And thanks for sharing the song. Fits perfectly with my experience!! :D
