Day 2: Eat smart, ALWAYS!

It's a nice place, the cafeteria where I eat regularly. Outside, the entire food (veg, meat, everything) is kept on display. You pick a plate (if you plan to eat in) or a box (if you intend on a parcel), take all you want, and show it to the woman at the end. She looks at the quantity, makes an estimate and tells you the price. And no, you cannot bargain. You shut up and pay.

However, there's one way how you can pay less. Opt for a parcel rather than eating in. Why? Cause the box of the parcel is smaller than the plate. So even if you take the same serving, the woman 'thinks' that you have taken less food, because it appears less to HER. I tried it in fact. I took the exact same food twice. Once I ate there. The second time, I took the box. And the second time, I paid 10 NTD less!!

As SaTing says, "It's psychological."

Psycho rather! :p

So you're saying that women who serve in Taiwan actually feel bad that you're getting less? And not just stop at feeling bad..but do something about it, too?

And here, small-faced, equally deserving beings have shed tears and blood for an extra helping of chutney..

Long Live Taiwan

Shall not give up, Soldier!

uhh... I am sorry for the miscommunication but NOBODY is feeling bad here.

Logic:
Woman 'thinks' food is less cause it 'appears' less to her cause it's in a small box. This is what we call illusion.

Less food = less money.

Bottom line: Woman has a perception problem. Make use of it, take the same serving, but pay LESS!

Get it, soldier!? :)

Where is "THAT" scandalous post? Kareena has created quite a hype about it. Never knew it existed. Read a little, but I want to know your version. First hand. Tried sushi yet? There should be sushi carts in the city.
