SCREW YOU GUYS! I AM GONG TO WORK!!

The Spirit of Mumbai: Perhaps the most misused and abused term I have ever come across.
Yes, a sense of spirit does exist, but it is definitely not what most people pin it down to. N number of times, the helplessness is camouflaged under the term ‘Spirit’.

Want to know what the Mumbai Spirit looks like?

It looks like this:
General Manager of the Taj Mahal Hotel, Karambir Kang who led the staff back into the hotel the day it opened. In spite of having lost his entire family in the terror attack.

The man didn’t speak to anyone during the opening. Clearly, he was hurt. Clearly, he was mourning. Clearly, he wished he hadn’t seen this day. But he was THERE!

The man had the OPTION to stay back. The man had the OPTION to resume duty after a month. The man had the OPTION to not face everyone. And nobody would have said a thing. But in spite of losing everything, he was THERE.

I SALUTE HIM!
