Bin there, done that

This is NOT a dustbin. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a beacon of HOPE. It’s a sign, an existing proof that we, Indians, can develop a civic sense, provided we are given a) the infrastructure b) the time.

Notice anything peculiar about the bin? The red, dry spit marks all around (and inside) it? Each mark is proof of that certain someone out there who thought, “I want to spit. Here’s a bin. So well, let’s spit in the bin”.

Isn’t that what we all want? For everyone (who spits) to spit in the bin? If you ask me, there's so much more to this bin. It’s not all fucking dirt. THIS piece of plastic is a testimony to a cleaner, better, civilized Mumbai.

I LOVE THIS BIN!

Just the other day, I was walking near khar subway and I saw a rickshaw driver get out of the rick, to throw a bag of accumulated garbage in a bin. he also spat in the bin.

The bin has a name: spittoon.

For a person who has been spat on again & again (for the sixth time, actually, last evening), hope lies in much more than a tiny percentage of people aiming for the dustbin.

you forgot 'bin tere kya hai jeena?'? we used to have a running joke in college, that dustbin is the only thing which has written ' use me' written on weird parts of its anatomy and ironically , it wasn't used.
